Help a filmmaker out

My friend Andrew and his company are once again finalists in the Doorpost Film Project.  They’ve been here before - last year, for example, they were finalists in the category for hope with “Playland”*.  This time, they’re working on their new film The Man Who Never Cried, with their mentor Richard Linklater.  This could be the break they’ve been waiting for.  However, they’ve come to the very stark realization that it’s just not possible to deliver a strong and competitive film in these contests without serious fundraising.

I, Lani, try to not bring in too many personal things into this blog.  However, today, I am asking YOU, oh awesome reader, to please check out some of their films, see what you think, and consider donating, and maybe reblogging!

Support the arts!!  Thank you all.  Love!

*Playland is still one of my favorites for their films so far.  How can you not love Chip Cheesy, the Journey-esque rock’n’roller of a Chuckee Cheese-type joint?  ROCK’N’ROLL IS OUTTA CONTROL!  You should go watch this film.  Go on, it’s less than 20 minutes long and it’s awesome.
